Who am I?

Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder,Depression and Anorexia,I am described as a ‘chronic’ self harmer. My pets are my life, why don’t you get to know us 🙂

I used to have a job I loved,a car I worked hard for,a social life that had no limits,I was the life and sole of the party. Then the monster snatched it all away, bit by bit it stripped me of everything I have ever worked for and left me reliant on others to keep me safe.

Now is my time to get it all back, bit by bit I am going to grow stronger than it,you just wait and see.

Amy, I was so worried for you when Mel said you couldn’t meet up at her birthday. I’m glad you are doing better now. Keep in touch. xx Arcadia

I don’t know you but came across your blog because my twin girls of 23 years old both have supapubic catheters.I read your story and I do hope and pray that you are getting better and perhaps got rid of the catheter,Lots of medication can cause you to retain urine.I just wanted to say “Hi” and hope you are well.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, it is interesting to find other people with experience of these type of catheters, how come both of your daughters have them if you don’t mind me asking?I have mine out now, it has left a scar and a dent in my tummy, but otherwise you wouldn’t know I had had one. But it has damaged my bladder and I am quite incontinent especially at night. How long have your daughters had them?

Hi Amy, I work for the BBC and came across your youtube videos. I’m currently looking into a piece with the British Red Cross into overdose as a form of self harm. I’m looking for people who might be willing to share their experiences. I’ve attached my email, if you think you might be interested in helping, get in touch, and I’ll be happy to explain more. Many thanks, Anthony.

Hi Amy, I’m a journalist, like Anthony. I saw your interview on Newsbeat and wondered if you might be interested in doing a magazine piece as well, to raise awareness. Thanks Amy and hope you’re doing okay at the moment, JaneX

Hi Amy, I came across your blog when searching for information on self poisoning; thank you so much for sharing your story. It’s good to know that I am not the only one out there self harming in this way.

Keep up the fight! I know how your world can be ripped away from you as I experienced the same thing. And I’m still screwed three years later. But there is hope. For all of us. x
